We practice twice weekly in one of the three Middle Schools in Pleasanton, California.

Q: What is the difference between the Bulldogs teams and Alpha Elite?

Our seasonal Bulldogs teams take place in four distinct sessions. The sessions are in Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. Alpha Elite is a year-round commitment with the same philosophies as the Bulldogs’ seasonal teams. The main differences are Alpha Elite players receive an additional practice each week and travel to extra tournaments.

Q: Where do you play games?

We play in the MVP league, Bay Area tournaments, or in-house jamborees. Games occur in Walnut Creek, Lafayette, San Ramon, or Pleasanton.

Q: What is your basketball philosophy?

We teach man-to-man defense and motion offense. While it would be easier to park young kids in a simple 2-3 zone for the purpose of winning youth games, we believe that this will not help players reach their goals of playing High School or College Basketball. If you look around the East Bay High School teams, ALL of them are based on man-to-man concepts. Offensively, we don’t run set plays, which can be effective at youth levels but not conducive to long-term skill development. Rather we teach players how to move and space on the floor based on reading the defense. This offensive play style is also the cornerstone of East Bay High School Basketball.

Q: If I missed the tryouts, can I still sign up?
